We were a pangea

We were a pangea, we seemed inseparable.
We can easily reach each other,
even when staying on two different sides.

But living in a place where changes are inevitable,
we drifted apart all of a sudden,
sometimes without knowing how or why.
It just happened.

We were separated into two different islands,
surrounded by large bodies of water and other land forms.
There are so many ways in which we could reach each other.

We can use the train or car to lessen the distance on land.
Or wade in the waters through boats or ships.
If you can conquer the air, you may use the airplane or hot air balloon.

But perhaps it would take years for cars,
boats and even flying devices to be built.
Perhaps the time to discover them seemed so far and distant.

But then again, can't we walk, or send letters?
It doesn't matter how long.
Can you assure me that there's something I can hope for?
Something I can hold on to during the times waiting becomes unbearable?

Because really, a little spark of hope can keep an island afloat..
You can always find your way to me.
Because I wouldn't hide.
I wouldn't drown.

You can find me.
The winds, the waves and the roads will guide you.
Because that's what they're supposed to do.
